Derrick Rose’s Career From Chicago to New York

2006-2007

Derrick Rose began his great career at Simeon High School were theirs a great tradition of basketball. He led his team to 2 state titles while becoming ESPN top high school prospect.

2007-2008

Derrick Rose then went on to play for coach John Calipari becoming the freshman of the year. As the Memphis Tigers starting point guard he led them to the national championship game were they lost to Kansas in overtime.

2008-2009

Derrick Rose was the number 1 overall draft pick in 2008.  Tying the record for the most points scored by a rookie in his NBA playoff debut. He also was the rookie of the year.

2010-2011

Derrick Rose became the youngest MVP in NBA history after having one of the best seasons for the Bulls since the great Micheal Jordan. He led the bulls all the way to the Eastern Conference Finals were they fell short to LeBron James and the Miami Heat.

2011-2012

Derrick Rose tore his ACL in the first game and first round of the playoffs. The bulls happen to win this game and 1 more without Derrick, but losing to a 8th seeded team. That shows how much Derrick meant to this team

   

2012-2013

Derrick Rose was sidelined for the entire season and was forced to watch his team play without not only there best player, but there leader as well.

2013-2014

Derrick Rose after only playing 10 games goes down with a MCL tear in his right knee. This injury left fans devastated and saying not again.

2014-2015

Derrick Rose had a good comeback year where he and fellow all-stars Jimmy Butler and Pau Gasol led the Bulls to the playoffs. Beating the Bucks in the first round in 6 games, then later losing to LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in 6 games. Rose hit the biggest shot of his career in that series in game 3 and gave the Bulls a 2-1 lead.

2015-2016

Derrick Rose started this season off on a bad note, after having a left orbital fracture in the first practice of the season. He only played 66 games this season but that’s more games if you combine the last two seasons, so that’s a start for Derrick Rose. He later bounced back showing flashes of the old Rose having a great season after the all-star break, but with the inconsistency of the bulls roster they fell short of the playoffs making it the first time Derrick Rose didn’t make the playoffs.

2016

Derrick Rose was traded to the New York Knicks during this off season. One of the most disappointing and shocking trades in Bulls history. But knowing Derrick he stayed positive took a little time but was ready and excited about his new journey and step in his career.
